Inclusive. Critically engaged. Justice-oriented.

We are Duke Wesley, a group of students united in the common pursuit of exploring and deepening our Christian faith. We worship together on Sunday evening, and we gather at other times during the week. Our life together is marked by a commitment to prayer, sacrament, scripture, inclusivity, and justice.

We get our name from John Wesley, the 18th-century Anglican priest who started the Methodist movement. While we are an official ministry of the United Methodist Church, John Wesley is the spiritual ancestor for many other modern Christian denominations, including Christian Methodist Episcopal, African Methodist Episcopal, AME Zion, Free Methodist, and the Church of the Nazarene.

A key Wesleyan emphasis is the gradual nature of the Christian life: by God's grace, through worship, prayer, service, and study, we can grow to be more and more like Jesus. But this growth requires time, and commitment, and holy friends to help us along the way. While the students of Duke Wesley come from many different Christian traditions, we have found a home together here as we share in this lifelong faith journey.

So, if you have a desire to grow in the love of God and neighbor, come find your home with Duke Wesley!
