Thank God for Liddy Grantland.
We are deeply honored that the Grantland family has invited donations to Duke Wesley in memory of Liddy Grantland, who died on May 30, 2026. From 2016-2020, Liddy led our ministry in many ways, both formal and informal. She was selected to be Duke Chapel's Student Preacher in February 2020, but the truth is that she proclaimed the gospel every day of her Duke years by being a caring friend, a patient teacher, and a passionate advocate.
In 2020, Liddy said this about her campus ministry experience: “We are called to be a gentle and porous and vulnerable people. Duke doesn’t really want you to become softer. But this community has softened me, and it’s taught me to be open even when really hard things are happening. It has taught me how to ask for help.”
